Jacob was called to the New South Wales Bar in 2021. He appears regularly in Criminal trials, sentences, and Local Court hearings. Jacob has appeared across jurisdictions, appearing in the District Court of Western Australia and Local and Supreme Courts of the Northern Territory of Australia.

Before being called to the Bar Jacob was employed by the Aboriginal Legal Service (NSW/ACT) ltd for eight years. At the Aboriginal Legal Service Jacob worked extensively in the Children’s, Local, District and Supreme Courts, he also appeared before the State Parole Authority.

Jacob ran the Parramatta Aboriginal Legal Service Children’s Court practice and most recently was the manager of their Newcastle Office. In between these roles Jacob ran trials and complex maters as a trial advocate for the Aboriginal Legal Service in the Western Regions of New South Wales.

Jacob practices out of Newcastle and Lismore and accepts briefs across the State and Country.
