As both a solicitor and a barrister, the majority of Peace’s practice is in family law and care and protection, as well as occasional criminal law/ADVO matters.

In 2016, Peace was recognised by the NSW Law Society for her specialised knowledge in Family Law.

In 2017, Peace was recognised by the NSW Law Society for her specialised knowledge in Children’s Law (Child Representation).

Since 2024, Peace has been appointed as a part-time Senior Member of the NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal, in the Administrative & Equal Opportunity Division.

Peace has appeared in the Appeal Division of Division 1 of the Federal Circuit & Family Court, both Divisions 1 and 2 of the Federal Circuit & Family Court, the Federal Court, the NSW Supreme Court, the NSW District Court, the NSW Children’s Court and NSW Local Court.

In her practice, Peace appears in a variety of regional and city registries of the Federal Circuit & Family Court including Cairns, Mackay, Brisbane, Lismore, Coffs Harbour, Newcastle, Sydney, Parramatta and Melbourne.

Peace has been involved with various boards and is currently a member of the NSW Bar Association Family, Care & Adoption committee and involved with the Far North Coast Family Law Practitioners Association.

Peace has a strong interest in life-long learning and enjoys teaching. In 2023, Peace was involved in teaching Family Law & Practice at Southern Cross University. Peace also presents papers for legal professionals, with recent presentations including the following:

  • “Unacceptable risk cases and the intersection of family and criminal law” presented at the NSW Bar Association Regional CPD Conference in Ballina and the Legal Aid NSW Criminal Law Conference in 2023
  • “Kennon cases” presented to the Far North Coast Law Society Conference and the Clarence River & Coffs Harbour Law Society Conference in 2024
  • “Coercive control: intimate terrorism” presented to the NSW Bar Association, Legal Aid NR Criminal Law Day, Legal Aid NSW and NSW Health
  • “The legal definition of family violence in the Family Law Act 1975” presented to the Northern Rivers Family Law Pathways Network Conference.
